House accounts are a separate balance
A house-account balance belongs to the TabWorks charging arrangement. It is separate from membership dues, loyalty points, coupons and the club’s subscription payments to ClubWorks; none of those amounts tells you what a member owes on a house account.
New charging is optional
The documented October 21, 2026 TabWorks release made house accounts a per-club option, off by default. When off, the register hides its charge-to-account action and house-account menu entry, and the service refuses new charges even if a register tries to submit one.
Turning new charging off does not clear debt
That same release still allowed payments and adjustments for existing balances when new charging was off. An off setting therefore does not mean an old balance has been erased, paid or settled.
A ClubWorks link does not turn house accounts on
A linked TabWorks organization identifies the club association. Saved loyalty-provider settings describe a configuration; they do not enable house accounts, set your club’s credit policy or confirm register readiness. The newer ClubWorks integrations layout shown here explains that saving does not verify a connection or enable unsupported capabilities; this layout is not enabled for every club.
ClubWorks statements have a separate delivery boundary
The October 20–21, 2026 integration record placed sending TabWorks house-account charges to member statements in the ClubWorks app and portal in a later phase. It was not included in that record’s completed October 21 release, so a ClubWorks dues invoice or loyalty balance should not be treated as a house-account statement.
Confirm what your club currently offers
Your authorized club or POS administrator can confirm current availability, member eligibility, credit limits and the club’s payment, receipt, adjustment or reversal policies. The dated record described an updated web register, with a Windows register build still planned; it does not establish the current rollout or the settings of your club’s devices.
The illustration is reconstructed from ClubWorks source with fictional club data. It is an orientation example, not a live check of TabWorks or your club’s account settings.
What to remember
House accounts are optional member charging in TabWorks. A connection, an off setting and a ClubWorks statement each answer different questions; your club’s current terms and account records determine what is available and what is owed.
